New 7KM urban trail

Need more distance than a park run without adding too much strain? Do you need a new challenge and want to get introduced to trail running in a safe and controlled environment? This exciting new urban trail run is just for you.

There is a mix of road, trail and jeep track which make this run suitable to runners new to trail running and those hoping to challenge themselves a little more.

Starting from the Franschhoek High School, you’ll run through the Green Belt in Franschhoek and into the exclusive Fransche Hoek Estate to explore their trails.

Leaving the High School grounds, you’ll cross the road and enter the Green Belt. You will run on the banks of a beautiful reservoir and onto the green grass parallel to the stream. There will be a few road crossings but those points will be well managed.

You will leave the Green Belt and join the main road to enter the Fransche Hoek Estate through the security gate..

Inside the Fransche Hoek Estate, you’ll be treated to smooth mountain bike trails and spectacular views are a given.

Like all the the other TdMR races, you’ll be finishing on a sweet downhill.
